Eleanor Margaret (Bell) Ifft

Eleanor Margaret Bell Ifft, age 80, of Butler, passed away late Saturday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital, following an illness.  She was a resident of the YWCA of Butler.

Born May 25, 1936 in Concord Township, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Sylvester and Chloe M Mershimer Bell.

She was Baptist by faith.

Eleanor worked as a cleaning lady for various places including a long time custodian at Slippery Rock University.

She enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, and loved doing crafts, crocheting, yard sales, gardening, and being around kids.

She is survived by her husband Lloyd Dean Ifft of Sunnyview Home, who she married January 11, 1957; her children:  Beverly Fox of Springdale, Robert Ifft of Butler, Gordon Ifft of Springdale, Nancy Ifft of Butler, Roger (Becky) Ifft of Butler; three grandchildren:  Richard (Laura Lindgren) Piper, Aaden Ifft, Jacob Ifft; three great grandchildren: Shayne Lindgren, Kayden Piper, Trysten Piper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Helen Campbell and her infant brother.

Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10am until time of service at 1pm, at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.  The funeral service will be 1pm, at the funeral home, with Rev. Ben Oesterling, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
