Frances S. (Simon) Sigmund

Frances S. Sigmund, age 76, of Prospect passed away Friday evening, October 7, 2016 at home, of natural causes.

Born August 29, 1940 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Francis "Sye" and Josephine Wituszynski Simon.

Frances was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, where she enjoyed her many friendships.

She had previously worked for Busy Bee in Wexford, and also worked as a cleaning lady at local motels.

Along side of her husband, they raised cows, pigs, chickens, and horses.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling with her husband.  She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Frances would be seen going outside just to enjoy the views from her back porch.

Survived by her loving and caring husband, John “Jack” Sigmund, she is also survived by her children Kimberly McCombs of Shadyside, Christopher (Jen) Sigmund of Erie, PA, John (Kathy) Sigmund of Cranberry Township. Six grandchildren, Shane McCombs, Corey McCombs, Jordan Sigmund, Ethan Sigmund, Charles Sigmund, Emily Sigmund, three great grandchildren, Mia, Mason, Madelyn McCombs, One sister, Betty (John) Patsey of Penn Hills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Bob Simon.

Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2pm-5pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.  Visitation will also be on Monday, 10am to 11am at The Presbyterian Church of Prospect.  The funeral service will be 11am, at church, with Rev. Steve Cort, her church pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Twp.
