George Edward Lechner, Jr

George Edward Lechner, Jr, age 71, of Portersville, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 8, 2016 at Caprice Healthcare Center, North Lima, OH.

Born February 13, 1945 in Portersville, he was the son of the late George E. and Grace Elizabeth Jones Lechner, Sr.

He was a retired truck driver.

George served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Survived by his loving wife Judith Ann Locke Lechner, who he married August 14, 1971; three sons Bruce (Teresa) Locke, Greg (Victoria) Lechner, and James (Christina) Lechner; seven grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 2 to 4pm.  Services will conclude with Military Honors at 4pm.
