Janet Lorraine (Eyth) Oesterling

Janet Lorraine Eyth Oesterling, age 88, of Butler, passed away Thursday evening, November 3, 2016 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born January 8, 1928 in East Butler, she was the daughter of the late George Norbert and Martha Mary Weiland Eyth.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Butler.

She enjoyed traveling and was proud to say she traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast and back again nineteen times in nineteen years.   She also enjoyed sowing, crocheting, and gardening.

Janet is survived by her children Mary Jane (Harold) Critchfield of Butler, Judith (William) Sousie of Malone, NY, Dorothy Louise (John) Chichetti of Meherrin, VA, Albert George (Lori) Oesterling of Loomis, CA, Edward Charles Oesterling, of Meherrin, VA, Ronald Paul (Sherri) Oesterling, of Brushton, NY; 15 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Great Grandchildren; sister Victoria Painter of Slippery Rock; brothers Victor Eyth of Ohio, William Eyth of Fenelton, Raymond Eyth of Chicora, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert John Oesterling, who she married October 1, 1949 and who passed away May 21, 2009, a son, two granddaughters, two sisters, and three brothers.

Cremation services were entrusted to the Edward L.Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
