I did not have the privilege of knowing Ron like my former husband, Pete or my sons
Todd and Mark but nevertheless I experienced the same reaction when I saw the news. The camp was THE main place in our lives as the boys grew up. Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of an exceptional man admired by many and accompanied by God his whole life. His picture makes me smile but also tears are shed in the thought of your loss. but you will meet again! Praise the Lord.

"A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you."
Too many stories to recount; A warm hearth and friendly smile; A hearty laugh; Horseshoes; Hastings Trail; Hunter's Station Golf Tournaments; Mayburg Hill (do you smell smoke?) Card games, Oyster Stew late in the night, the realization and understanding of what back porch peace meant, bird feeders that seemed to stay filled (even with all the raccoons). Only slowing down long enough from the latest edition/creation to the camp to soak in the quiet. So many memories involving this wonderful man and Echoing Pines. To the Roth family, our sincerest condolences at the loss of your Father. He will truly be missed.

Roth Family. So many fond memories of your dad and my dad up at camp. Ron was an amazing man and great friend to my dad. I wish they would have had more years together. You have a great family and we will be praying for you as you go through this time. Stay close and praise God for the wonderful years you had with your father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. God is so good!!!

To an incredible man who provided hundreds of memories to kid growing up at Echoing Pines, be it at Fourmile Run waiting for the 8 AM start time while watching ice float by, to looking for the white smoke from a wet wood fire on Mayburg ridge while "whitlin a stick" on first morning of buck season, to listening to the stories of his exploring Forest County's jeep trails with 'his boys", to that far off stare he had when he was planning his next "camp project". My condolences to all the Roth family, but I hope it will be a celebration of his life and the thousands of memories he has left you with to always remember and bring a smile to your face and a tear in your eye (probably from the laughter). It is the end of an era. Whether it be in in PA or NJ this November 27th, I'll be looking for that puff of white smoke down the ridge around 7:30 AM . Rest in peace, a job well done. Thanks for sharing a little bit of it with me......

To all the Roth family. We are so sorry about your loss of a father, grandfather, great grandfather. I have many memories of your dad that I will cherish. He was always kind to me even though sometimes I would be afraid of his stern voice. I loved being at the home, playing, watching the boys play football, the girls twirl batons. We will be praying for all of you.
