Rose Mary (Dufford) McCoy

Rose Mary McCoy, age 80, of Portersville, passed away Wednesday morning, March 22, 2017 from a long illness.  

Born May 5, 1936, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Monica (Zarnick) Dufford. 

 She worked as a cook at the former Eppinger’s Restaurant in Portersville for over 40 years.  After she retired, she enjoyed traveling and seeing new places with her family.

She attended Zion Baptist Church, Slippery Rock.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Rose Mary is survived by her siblings:  Martin (Pamela) Dufford of Butler; Bertha Dufford of Butler; Anna Slagle of Callery, and Betty (Ronald) Smith of Renfrew, a number of nieces and nephews; and her brother in law Allen (Mary) McCoy of Pensacola, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman McCoy, who passed away February 7, 2004, one sister, and four brothers.

Visitation will be on Friday, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, 11am, at the Funeral Home, with her pastor, Rev. Tom Mehling, officiating.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
