Rousi "Rose" Snyder

Rousi  “Rose” Snyder, age 94, of Butler passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 25, 2016, at Bendview Personal Care Home in Butler while under hospice care.

Born October 13, 1922 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Emro M. and Katherine A.  Martinkovich Snyder.

During WWII, she worked in Ambridge, PA as a tack welder for the war effort.

She enjoyed spending many years in Crestview, FL., sewing, reading, visiting with her son John and his family, and going out for dinner.

She is survived by her children:  John “Duke” Snyder and his wife Fonda of Butler; Rosie Snyder of Newport, WA; Michael Snyder of Mt. Vernon, WA; her grandchildren Dana R. Snyder and David J. Snyder; and two great grandchildren John Robert Snyder and Adeline Willumson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Snyder; her brothers Stephen Snyder and Frank Snyder; and her sister Mildred Snyder Mekruit.

Family and friends will be received Friday, October 28, 2016 from 10am to 11am at the Edward L Raisley Funeral  Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.

Funeral  Service will be Friday, 11Am, at the Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Cort, Pastor of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, officiating.
