Sheldine O'Hara Mahoney

Sheldine O’Hara Mahoney, age 54, of Red Lion, PA, formerly of Prospect, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

Born June 10, 1962 in Butler, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. O’Hara, and Beverly G. McQuistion O’Hara of Prospect.

Sheldine was a former member of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect.

She was a 1981 graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School. 

She worked as an adjuster for various insurance companies.

Sheldine was proud to be a Breast Cancer Survivor and always provided support, care, and comfort for others who experienced the illness.

She is survived by her husband Kevin Mahoney, who she married in 2005, her mother, her sister in law, two uncles, three nephews, two nieces, and two great nephews, and numerous cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, sister, brother, nephew, and her dog Sassy.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.

The funeral service will be on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11am in The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church Street, Prospect, with Rev. Steve Cort,  Church Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Presb. Church of Prospect Deacon Fund or to any Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Organizations.
