Dennis Paul Martsolf, age 65, of Butler passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 in the Butler Memorial Hospital, following a 15 year courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 22, 1952 in Butler, he was the son of Joan Boyd Martsolf and the late Paul Martsolf.
He was a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church.
In his younger years, he was in the Boy Scouts of America and the Meridian Vol Fire Department. He was a member of the Audubon Society. He enjoyed being outdoors in nature, photography, and birds.
During his lifetime, he worked as a mechanic, a builder in construction, and as a truck driver.
He is survived by his children Michael D. (Tracy) Martsolf of Butler, Richard P. (Kristen) Martsolf of Portersville; his mother Joan Boyd Martsolf of Butler, two grandchildren Katherine Christie and Charlotte Martsolf.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A memorial graveside service will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10am in the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Stephen Franklin, his pastor, officiating. All are welcomed to attend.
Cremation services were entrusted to the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
