It has been many years since we had the opportunity to spend personal time with Aunt Joann. It is a shame that funerals remind us of some important moments from our past. Richard and Tom spent time today sharing stories of her when they were kids.

I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time over a couple years enjoying lunch with Aunt Joann. I visited a baby a couple streets away from the "homestead" so would stop and we would have lunch together. Aunt Joann was so sweet to me and I appreciated her welcoming me when we could get together.

My sincere condolences to Joan's family. I had little personal contact with you over the years but I must tell you how loving, caring and helpful woman your mother has been to me and to the Prospect Area Preservation Society. She loved to talk about her family history to help us get a more vivid picture of the person she became.
A wonderful woman who will be greatly by many people she met during her lifetime. God Bless you all., Mary

My sincere sympathies to my dearest friend Maggie her sisters Alice and Mary Jo and her brother Buck. Also to all of Joanne's grandchildren and great grandchildren. The loss of your mother/grandmother is the loss of a bright ray of sunshine in this uncertain world. I will always remember her cheerful disposition as she uttered her whimsical sayings in your childhood home when I visited. Most recently the little happy game of "boop!" as she touched my nose.
