Kenneth Lee Sarvey, age 70, of Butler, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
Born June 17, 1946 in Butler, he was the son of the late Ralph and Beulah Aggas Sarvey.
Ken retired after 36 years working at US Steel in Clairton. After two years of retirement, he returned to work for Central Maintenance as a janitor at the Evans City Elementary School.
He was the man of the house and loved his family. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, music especially Elvis, grandchildren, and his dog Alvin. He will be remembered for being happy and always having a good laugh.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Donna Queen Sarvey, who he married August 2, 1967, his son Brian (Stephanie) Sarvey of Renfrew, four grandchildren Becca Sarvey, Ashley Carothers, Jessie Sarvey, Matthew Sarvey, two great grandchildren, mother in law Hannah Stiver of Slippery Rock, his siblings Ralph Sarvey, Dean (Elsie) Sarvey, Glenna (Bob) Weichey all of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Darla Carothers, one sister, and four brothers.
Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect, PA. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, 11am, at the funeral home, with Rev. Steve Cort, pastor at The Presbyterian Church of Prospect, officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
