Lola Lee is part of my very foundation. I'm sure that she was there the very day that I came home to Lawrence Ave. from being born. The Matheny Family lived next door to us, and they were part and parcel of my beginning years, and all the years thereafter..
My head was somewhat prepared to learn of her passing, but my heart is still broken. I am thankful that she is released from her bondage which has held her increasingly in bondage these last few years. I know that there is a great reunion happening right now in Heaven ~ I have no doubt. Many generations of loved ones were waiting for her there, and received her in the presence of her Lord.. But the loss of her in my world saddens me, yet I rejoice~~~ Thanks be to Jesus, we will meet again, I am sure!!! Leslie and Matthew, and all who loved Lola, please know that I am holding you close in my thoughts and prayers. I am with you in my heart.
