Michael Jason Workley, age 45, formerly of Prospect, passed away Thursday morning, November 1, 2018 at Quality Life Services in Grove City, following an illness.
Born May 30, 1973 in Butler, he is the son of Barbara Ann McGowan Workley and the late Larry Albert Workley.
He was catholic by faith.
Michael was a 1991 graduate of Slippery Rock School District.
Prior to his illness, he will be remembered for excelling in weight lifting and body building contests.
He loved motorcycle riding and his cats.
Survived by his mother Barbara Ann McGowan Workley of Slippery Rock; his siblings Brian Workley of Prospect and Kristen Workley of Wilmington, NC; his nephew Dean Workley; Aunts and Uncles Mary Anne (Stephen, Sr) of Dubois, Donna (Fred) Hensel of Renfrew, and Fred Workely of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Workley and his aunt Joanne Smith.
A funeral mass will be on Saturday, November 3, 2018, 10am in the St Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 229 N Franklin Street, Prospect, with Father Adam M. Verona, officiating.
Public visitation will be on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 12pm to 2pm at the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
Entombment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
