CARL CLINTON DICKEY, JR - - - Age: 83
Of Mt. Chestnut, passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 27th, at LifeCare Hospital in Pittsburgh, following an illness.

He was born August 17, 1920 in Mt. Chestnut and was the son of Carl Clinton and Lila (McCandless) Dickey, Sr.

He was a 1938 graduate of Butler High School, and retired in 1983 from Armco where he worked in the Accounting Department and retired as a Production Scheduler in Plant 2.

He was a WWII, US Army Veteran, he served from 1941 to 1946 in Biloxi Miss. as a 1st Lieutenant.

He was a life member of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder, member of the Church Choir, and was on the committee for the new location of the Church.

In the late 1950's he served on the Slippery Rock Area School District School Board. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and the BUCO trailer club.

He enjoyed camping, gardening, and playing the organ.

He is survived by: His wife Lillian Ruth Cumberland Dickey, whom he married Nov. 7, 1942
- Two Daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Sharon) Pawlowicz of Butler
- - - Mrs. Linda Ellison of Charlotte, NC

8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren

and a number of nieces and nephews

- - Helen Jane Raisley of Puxantawney
Preceded in death by: One Brother

Friends of Carl Dickey, Jr, who passed away December 27, 2003 will be received Tuesday, December 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:30AM at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Jeffery Curtis, his church pastor, officaiting.
