Charles William Porter

Charles William Porter, age 86, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Prospect, passed away peacefully Friday, August 29, 2014 in Autumn Grove Care Center, Harrisville.

Born July 1, 1928 in Moundsville, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Charles and Ethel (Crow) Porter.

Veteran of the US Army and the US Navy.

He was retired from Citizen Transport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Betty J Porter, married May 13, 1960 and passed May 6, 2001, and one sister.

In accordance with Mr Porter's funeral wishes, there will be no services held in Prospect.

Military honors will be conducted on Monday, September 8, 2014, 12:30pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  Please meet at the designated shelter.
