Cinda Lou Benninger, age 74, of Chicora, passed away early Thursday morning, September 3, 2020 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
Born January 1, 1946 in Chicora, she was the daughter of the late Paul Francis and Helen Louise Rodgers Benninger.
She was a 1963 graduate of Karns City High School.
Cinda retired after working 44 years as a radiology supervisor at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed spending time with Natalie and Amos, vacationing on the Gulf Coast of Florida, playing cards, and eating out with friends. She was the founding member of the Goosetown Gang picnic committee.
She is survived by her brother Paul (Rose) Benninger, two sisters Mary Ann Benninger and Dot (Jim)Turner all of Chicora; her nieces and nephews Sherry Lehnard, Sheila Finer, Scott Case, Katie Mihalak, Tracey Fisher, Keith Fisher, Annie Fleming, Nathan Turner, Michael Turner, and Elizabeth Werner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters Bernadette Benninger, Helen Benninger, Judy Fisher, Donna Barto, and her lifelong friend Leon Jones.
Cremation services were entrusted to the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
The family will hold a private inurnment at Hemphill Cemetery in Chicora.
