Diane Virginia Firaben

Diane Virginia Firaben, age 72, of Butler, formerly of Pittsburgh and Ellwood City, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born December 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Norbert J. and Elizabeth N. Schwartz Hroch.

She worked various jobs.  She was a bar tender in Pittsburgh.  She worked at Jeans Personal Care Home where she enjoyed caring for the patients, cooking, and cleaning.  She retired in 2003 from Passavant Retirement Community.

She is survived by her son Roy (Patty Ballew) Whitehead, II, of Herman; her grandchildren:  Roy Whitehead, III of Pittsburgh; Shayna (Will Everetts) Whitehead of Butler; Timothy Whitehead of Butler; and Zachery Whitehead of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Whitehead; second husband Tom Firaben; son John Whitehead; and grandson Todd Whitehead.

Services are private and interment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery, Butler.
