Donald Rape Obituary
Donald H. Rape, age 82, of Portersville, peacefully passed away on the morning of December 18,2021 at his home.
Born August 17,1939 at home in Criders Corner, Butler County; he was the son of the late Kenneth and Georgia Miller Rape.
He attended the Portersville Bible Church.
Upon the closing of Lava Crucible in Zelienople, he retired after working there for over 40 years.
Donald lived the simple life and enjoyed the outdoors, where he loved to go camping, hunting, and staying at his camp up north, where enjoyed visiting with his Amish friends. During retirement, Don and Faye loved to travel and recently he enjoyed a family trip out West in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Faye (Magill) Rape, who he married November 7,1960; his children Robert Rape of Rock, Michigan, Linda (Lewis) Hague of Escanaba, Michigan, and Sally (David) Warf of Silver Springs, Maryland; eight grandchildren Robert Rape, Shane Rape, David (Melissa) Hague, Jennifer Meyer, Leah Hague, Cherith Hague, Benaiah (Joeli) Hague, and Michael Hands; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 21,2021 from Noon to 3PM at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect, PA. The funeral service will follow at 3pm, in the Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Hague, Donald’s Son In Law, officiating.
Interment will be in the Portersville Bible Church Cemetery, Portersville.
