Gerald Whitmire

Gerald Lester Whitmire, age 74 of Ambridge, passed away Sunday June 2, 2024.

Born August 30, 1949 in Butler; he was the son of the late Walter L and Ruby Rinker Whitmire.

He was a faithful member of Grace Bible Church, Harmony, where he was an ordained minister, Sunday school teacher, and volunteered in many ways with his church family.

Gerald retired as a finishing carpenter from Weaver Homes in Mars.

He is survived by his siblings William (Joy) Whitmire of Harlansburg, Judy (Bob) Powell of Butler, Nancy (Frank)Rodgers of Bulter, Lester “Bud” Whitmire of Boyers; nieces and nephews Lori (Travis) Beachem, Sherrie Lipka, Kay (George) Kovolchic, Brian Frank, Amy (Tom) Downing, Matthew Whitmire; and his uncle and aunts Jack and Carol Rinker of Prospect, and Clara McElhaney of Latrobe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Elaine Whitmire, and his niece Joni Whitmire.

Services being planned will be private.
