Helen S. Held

Helen Held, age 97, of Easley, SC formally of Evans City, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Schank Steiner.

She had worked as a secretary to the Dean of the Graduate Business School at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she retired after 15 years.

She will be remembered for volunteering at the VA Medical Center for 15 years.

She is survived by sons Russell Held, David Held, Wayne Held, daughter Eileen Eckberg, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Held, who passed away December 13, 1994; and two sons Eric and Dan.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.

A graveside service will be on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 9:30am in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Connoquennessing Twp., Evans City.
