James Lee Workman, age 93, of New Castle, passed away early morning on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at The Grove At New Castle.
Born December 15, 1927 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late James Samuel and Hazel M. Rodgers Workman.
He was a tool grinder, specializing in drill bits, and had worked at Matthews Conveyors, Kennedy Tubular, and retired from Rockwell.
Jim was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate Fan, enjoyed golfing, and loved watching and talking politics. He will be remembered for picking his guitar, singing, and listening to country music.
He is survived by his children Dennis Workman of Glenshaw; Duck (Cindy) Workman of New Castle; Loren Hooks of New Castle; Jim (Suzanne) Workman of Portersville; Charles (Shannon) Workman of New Castle; seven grandchildren Brittany Teter, Tyler Workman, Ava Heaney, Isabella Harding, Morgan Workman, Macy Workman, and Brooke Workman; three great grandchildren; and two brothers John (Elizabeth) Workman and Jerry (Marilyn) Workman all of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Duane “Duke” Workman and William “Bill” Workman.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm, with a Funeral Service at 4pm, at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, PC, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
