Joe Cupec, age 88, of Grove City passed away early Wednesday morning at Quality Life Services in Grove City.
Born December 15, 1930 in Butler, he was the son of the late John and Anna Durik Cupec.
He was a US Army Veteran who proudly served during the Korean War.
Joe retired after working 40 years as an Excavator for the Operating Engineers Local #66.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially trout fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife Rachel B. Smith Cupec, whom he married April 5, 1954; his children Joe J. (Shirley) Cupec of Harrisville and Deborah Picard of Texas; his grandchildren Clayton (Michelle) Cupec of Butler, Jennifer (Michael) Raffensberger of Florida, and Rachel Picard of Texas; four great grandchildren; and his sister Margaret Drobezko of Slippery Rock.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson Stephen Cupec; his sisters Anna Skunda, Helen Martin, Mary Grant; his brothers Andrew Maczej, Steve Cupec, and John Cupec.
Services will be private and were entrusted to the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
