Lucille Barbara Pranulis Murphy Stamm, age 86, of Franklin Township, Butler County, passed away Wednesday morning in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born January 5, 1928, in Vandergrift, she was the daughter of the late John and Francis Ann Churka Pranulis, Sr.
She is a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, and a AWANA leader.
She worked as a school bus driver for the former Bryans Bus Company in Prospect, a secretary at the former Tuck’s Garage in Unionville, and a waitress at Roxy’s Diner in Prospect.
She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, gardening, flowers, raising wild birds, and working at Pranulis’ Greenhouse.
Survived by her children Robert O. (Janet) Murphy, Jr. of Butler, and Barbara A. (Doug) Lindey of Butler; four Step Children: Pam Walker, Sandy Schreffler, Beverly Snow, and Kaye Dunkerlery; three grandchildren: Tony Murphy, Melinda Benninger, and Caleb Lindey; one great grandson Noah Lindey; 11 Step grandchildren; and 22 Step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert O. Murphy, Sr who passed away in 1969; her second husband Warren Stamm who passed away in 2010; 1 step son Randy Stamm, and two brothers John Pranulis and Bernie Pranulis.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, 11am in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2251 Prospect Road, Prospect, with Pastor Ben Oesterling, officiating. Please meet at church.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
