Merl Peters

Merl Elbert Peters, age 82, of Butler; passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born February 1,1943 in Pittsburgh; he was the son of the late Leslie and Jane Waterson Peters.

He retired from Don Martin Trucking after driving truck for over 43 years.

Merl was a member of the Mt Nebo Presbyterian Church in Whitestown.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, collecting and tinkering with Antique Tractors.

Survived by his son Wade (Linda) Peters of East Butler; grandchildren Kristen Peters and Josh Peters; great grandchildren Leslie Jaques, Hailey Albright, Maddy Toner, Leland Geatreau; two brothers Bruce (Karen) Peters of Cranberry Twp., David Peters of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Alicia Peters.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 16,2025 from 2pm to 4pm in the Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.  The funeral service will follow at 4pm, in the funeral home, with his pastor Rev Jason Sinagra, officiating.

Interment will be in Mt Nebo Cemetery.
