RUTH CLELAND

Ruth D. Cleleand, 96, of Passavant Health and Retirement Center, Zelienople, Formerly of Harmony RD 1, passed away at 7:50 am Monday, March 22, 2004 at Passavant Health Center. She was born in New Castle, November 9, 1907, and was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Richardson Dean. She was a graduate of Shenango Valley Hospital School of Nursing, New Castle now Jameson Hospital, where she had worked for many years after. She then worked for various hospitals in Pittsburgh for many years. She was a member ot the Order of the Eastern Star in New Castle. She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. James (Dorothy) Kegarise of New Castle, and Eleanor Dean Reed of New Castle. One Brother: Charles A Dean of New Castle, and several nieces and nephews. She was married to Donald L. Cleland, who passed away in 1994. She was also preceded in death by a brother.
Friends will be received from 10-11AM Wednesday, March 24 at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home with the service to follow at 11am with the REv. Peggy Barkley, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Middle Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Portersville Bible Church Cemetery.
