Richard D. Federkeil, Sr.

Richard D. Federkeil, Sr., age 88, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his family farm.

Born June 30, 1934 in Dorseyville, Allegheny County; he was the son of the late Roy A. and Aimee L. Fleck Federkeil.

In 1996, he retired as a foreman from the former Butler Armco, after 31 years.

He was a life long farmer, both in his youth and then on his own farm in Franklin Twp., well known as the Level Crest Farm on Dick Road.

He adored his family, grandkids, and great grandchildren.

Survived by his children Lynne Ellis of Cranberry Twp., Cheri Newcomb of Butler, Richard (Sheri) Federkeil, Jr of Butler; his grandchildren Jamie (Josh) Green, Brian (Katie) Ellis, Chris (Melissa) Newcomb, Jill (Patrick) McCurdy, Alyssa (Nick Minnis) Newcomb, Megan Hineman, Thomas (Gail) Hineman; his great grandchildren Mackenzie, Makayla, Sienna, Riley, Madeline, Aubrey, Caden, Marin, Maggie, Stella, Carter, Colin, and Victoria; his brother John (Janet) Federkeil of West Mifflin; and 16 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Dyer Federkeil, who he married June 16, 1956 and she passed away December 7, 2017; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.

Visitation will also be on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 10am until the time of service at 11am, in the Raisley Funeral Home, with Rev. Ben Oesterling, pastor of Mt Zion Baptist Church, Prospect, officiating.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
