Robert Laverne Brandon, age 85, of Evans City, passed away Wednesday evening. November 5, 2014, in the Lowrie Place, Butler.
Born May 12, 1929 in Whitestown, Connoquenessing Township, he was the son of the late Theodore and Evelyn Pyle Brandon.
He was retired from Halstead-Mitchell in Zelienople.
Bob enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his children Patricia J. (Michael) Harris of Stow, OH; Dr. William R. Brandon of Hyannis, MA; Brenda L. (Lance Collier) Davis of Evans City; his grandchildren James Harris; Amy Gray; Kathleen Joseph; Nick Harris; and Brandon Davis; one great grandson Luke Harris; and his brother Charles (June) Brandon of Whitestown.
He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Spivey Brandon, who he married on April 26, 1953 and who passed away March 29, 2013; and his two brothers William Brandon and Raymond Brandon.
Family and friends will be received at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 10am until time of service.
The memorial service will be 11am, in the Raisley Funeral Home, with Rev. Connie Dunn, officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
