Robert F. Osborne

Robert Francis Osborne, age 82, of Prospect, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Sunnyview Home.

Born February 22, 1933, in Slippery Rock, he was the son of the late William Francis and Elsie Leona Taylor Osborne.

He was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Prospect.

Bob retired after 44 ½ years at LTV Steel in Aliquippa.

He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children:  William T. (Kitty) Osborne of Connoquenessing, Robert D. (Becky) Osborne of Prospect, Patricia (Jeff Leech) Osborne of Butler, Peggy (Kurt Miller) Shelatree of Prospect, Nora Jean (Bob Sarnese) Osborne of Prospect, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers John (Ginny) Osborne of Prospect, David (Doris) Osborne of Prospect, sister Donna J.(LaVerne) Rice of Harmony, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Spencer Osborne, who he married November 8, 1952 and who passed June 11, 2004, one sister, and two brothers.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan 10, 2016, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.  The funeral service will be Monday, 11am, at the funeral home, with Rev. Steve Cort, his church pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
