Ruth Laverna (Moyer) Dietrich, age 98, of Portersville, passed away June 19, 2024 at her residence.
Born March 13, 1926 at her home in Lancaster Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harry Edward and Estelle Mae Kniess Moyer.
Years ago, she worked as a supervisor at the former Bobbie Brooks in Butler, and later at the former Zayre store in the fabric department.
She attended the Portersville CMA Church. In her early years she was an active member in the Prospect Vol Fire Dept Auxiliary and later in the Middle Lancaster History Center.
Ruth enjoyed traveling, car rides, camping, and fishing with her late husband. She loved to crochet, sew, quilt, play games, cards, and dominos.
She is survived by her children Carolyn (George) Pyle of Butler, Margery (Tim) Bowser, Jane (Don) Kradel, Barb Eisler, and Randy Dietrich all of Portersville; 14 Grandchildren; 29 Great Grandchildren; 10 Great Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Raymond Dietrich, who passed away in 1992; 1 Granddaughter, and 6 Siblings.
Private services were held by the family with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
