Sandra J. (Bloom) Babcock, age 51, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening in the emergency room of the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 27, 1962 in Butler, PA.
She was protestant by faith.
Sandy was employed as a correctional officer with the Butler County Prison.
Outside of loving her job, she enjoyed her family, pets, and time with her grandsons. She loved watching football and hockey, and loved being outdoors in nature.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert E. Babcock; her children Matthew McCracken of Butler, Amanda Halpin and her husband Shawn, who are both proudly serving our country in the US Army; two grandsons SJ and Aayden Halpin; her mother Virginia Poerschke Bloom of Portersville; three siblings Karen (Terry) Cunningham of Fombell, Tom (Dee) Bloom of Mt. Chestnut, and Rebecca (Darrin) Kaelin of Fombell.
Visitation only will be on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2 – 4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect, PA. Final funeral plans will be private.
