Scott Hainley Obituary

Scott Lee Hainley, age 55, of Prospect, peacefully passed away on early Sunday morning, November 13, 2022, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 31,1967 in Aliquippa, he is the son of Carl and Donna Oksala Hainley. 

Scott worked at Goodyear Tire Service in Cranberry Township, where he was a service tech and the office manager.

He was a 1987 graduate of Center High School.

After moving to Prospect, his passion was volunteering at the Prospect Boro - Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department where he is a loyal member and served as Lieutenant and Captain in years past.  His passion of serving the community was thru his volunteering for many local events and serving on fire calls through the department.  The fire department was like family to him, especially as he mentored and cared for his best friend Walter Breidenstein.

Scott enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Cinnamon Ann Claypoole Hainley, who he married May 10, 2008; his children Steele Hainley, who resides at home; Justin (Megan) Hainley of Cincinnati, OH; and Dakoda (Samantha) Hainley of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren Spencer, Hailey, and Noah; his parents Carl and Donna Hainley of Aliquippa; sister Vicki (Steve) Simon of Scottsdale, PA; Father in law Leroy Claypoole of East Brady, Mother in law Patricia (James Wagner) Claypoole of Karns City; friend Walter Breidenstein of Prospect; and his two pet dogs Corky and Bandit.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Vivian Herman, paternal grandparents Carl and Elva Hainley; great grandfather Hugo Oksala, and two uncles Dale Herman and Richard Herman.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 3pm to 7pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.  Fireman friends are invited to pay their final respects from 6pm to 7pm.

Scott’s Prospect VFD family will give a Final Call farewell at 7:30PM at the Prospect Boro – Franklin Twp Vol Fire Department, 373 Main Street, Prospect. 

The funeral service and interment will be on Friday, November 18, 2022, 11am at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 269 Rt 68, Rochester, PA.  Rev. Michael Sourwine, Pastor from House of Prayer Lutheran Church, Aliquippa will be officiating.
