Diane (McKnight) Gladd, age 58, of Butler passed away peacefully Friday, July 19, 2019, following a long battle with cancer, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
Born October 20, 1960 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Jane Spryn McKnight.
She was Presbyterian by faith.
She was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School and Villa Maria College where she received her LPN nursing degree.
Diane was a long time nurse for the Butler VA Hospital and private duty, where she loved helping others.
In her free time she was an avid bingo player and enjoyed crafting with her sister, but above everything else, Diane loved being with her family and playing with her five grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children and five grandchildren: Donny (Nichole) Gladd of Cannonsburg, their children Lylah and Connor; Brittany (Aaron) Anderson of Butler, their children Bryson, Dale, and William; Chester Gladd, Jr of Butler; her siblings: Debbie (Bob) Benninger of Butler, Barb (Gary) Rae of McKeesport, Don (Pat) McKnight of Florida, Denny (Melanie) McKnight of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, July 27, 2019, 11am at the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Robert Edmundson, Pastor of Concord Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Cremation services were entrusted to the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect.
