Janet Kay Hamilton Humenik, age 59, of Slippery Rock, passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, following an illness.
Born December 24, 1958 in Jackson, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Garth Frank and Margaret Rose Ankney Hamilton.
She was catholic by faith.
Janet was a field service engineer at the General Motor Corporation.
She loved gardening and always told friends she was green from her thumb to her elbow! She was very creative with crafts, painting, making things, and sewing. She enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and going to amusement parks.
She is survived by her loving significant other Christopher Hatfield, sons Christian James Humenik and Jacob Garth Humenik, both of Oakdale; four sisters and seven brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents Garth and Marilyn Hamilton, Margaret Ankney Curtis, and one brother.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 6-7pm, with a Catholic Blessing Memorial Service at 7pm, at the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
