Robert “Bob” Earl Blom, age 65, of Slippery Rock, passed away in St Vincent Hospital, Erie, on Friday, November 13, 2020 due to an unexpectant heart problem.
Born December 12, 1954 in Mercer; he was the son of the late Frank Earl and Alice Marie Trowbridge Blom.
He was a career mechanic and truck driver in the trucking industry.
He loved to cook and fish; he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife Judith Blom, who he married on March 16, 1990; his children Misty (Jim Manberger) Parker of Petrolia, Robert E Blom of Jamestown, and Jamie Kaiser of Butler; his 14 grandchildren: Katie, Kylee, Tommy, Jonny, Dylan, Austin, Jordan, Kyle, Dakota, Brent, Jesse, Destiny, Noah, and Linda; his 3 great grandchildren Leah, Roy, and Angel; his beloved Chihuahua Chloe; his siblings: Sandie Bedell of Butler, William (Cherie) Blom of Grove City, Frank (Lisa) Blom of Grove City, and Gilbert Blom of Hubbard, OH; and his half-sister Olive Heckman of Grove City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son James Robert Blom, his sister Elizabeth Addicott, and his brother Roger Blom.
The family is planning a Memorial Service in the near future.
